| 1. A computer-implemented method for decompressing synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images comprising:
receiving a SAR image;
performing a dynamic range compression on the SAR image;
quantizing the compressed SAR image; and
decompressing the quantized compressed SAR image by applying an anistropic diffusion algorithm thereto.
