| 12. A terminal unit comprising:
a processing portion for receiving program data corresponding to a program and information associated with the program data
and reproducing the received program data, the program data being transmitted through a communication network and the information
being transmitted in synchronization with the program data;
a remote control operable by a viewer, the remote control including a remote control display portion;
a displaying portion for displaying the program data reproduced by the processing portion on the remote control display portion,
wherein information associated with a portion selected by placing a cursor on that portion using the remote control is extracted
from the program data displayed on the displaying portion from the information associated with the program data and displayed
on the commander displaying portion while the displaying portion displays the reproduced program data,
the terminal unit further comprising a storing portion for storing information associated with the selected portion while
the reproduced program data is being displayed so that the stored information associated with the selected portion is accessible
after the reproduced program is displayed.
