| 1. A method for remotely accessing and controlling an IP telephony endpoint device, the method comprising:
providing one or more IP telephony endpoint devices in communication with a connection server;
storing on the one or more IP telephony endpoint devices account information and remote management actions available for registered
users;
allowing a user to remotely access the connection server in a secured environment;
gathering status information about at least one IP telephony endpoint device associated with the user from the at least one
IP telephony endpoint device; providing a user interface for allowing the user to view the status information about the at
least one IP telephony endpoint device, the user interface also including one or more remote management actions to be performed
on the at least one IP telephony endpoint device; presenting the user interface to the user via the connection server;
allowing the user to select one or more remote management actions to be performed on the at least one IP telephony endpoint
device associated with the user; and
performing the one or more selected remote management actions on the at least one IP telephony endpoint device.
