| 1. An optical device comprising
an anode;
a cathode comprising barium, strontium or calcium;
a layer of solution processable organic semiconducting copolymer comprising triarylamine repeat units between the anode and
the cathode; and
a layer of cross-linked hole transporting and electron blocking material located between the anode and the layer of organic
solution processable semiconducting copolymer,
wherein the molar ratio of triarylamine repeat units in the copolymer is between 1% and 10%.
