| 1. An aqueous polymer dispersion comprising
a) hydrophobically modified poly(acetal- or ketal-polyether) (HM-PAPE),
b) water, and
c) a viscosity reducing agent selected from the group consisting of
i) an ethoxylated alcohol having a C9-12 hydrocarbon moiety component,
ii) an ethoxylated acetylenic diol,
iii) a phosphate ester,
iv) a combination of an ethoxylated alcohol and an anionic dialkyl sulfosuccinate, and
v) a combination of ethoxytated alcohol and an anionic phosphate ester.
