| 1. A method for reversing a direction of movement of a barrier being moved by an electric motor, comprising:
providing a plurality of reversal algorithms for performing barrier movement reversal, the plurality of reversal algorithms
comprising at least a first reversal algorithm and a second reversal algorithm which provides more rapid reversal than the
first reversal algorithm;
sensing a request to reverse the direction of movement of the barrier;
identifying a type of request sensed in the sensing step; and
performing one of the plurality of reversal algorithms selected in response to the type of request identified in the identifying
step.
