1. A radiographic inspection system, comprising:
a computer adapted to be in signal communication with an imaging system, the imaging system adapted to acquire and output radiographic image data of a scanned object; and
a real-time image controller in signal communication with the computer;
the computer comprising:
a processor to execute operations according to a set of instructions provided by installed application software;
at least one memory to store the application software and to store the image data; and
an input device and a display device operable as a graphical user interface to configure and operate the inspection system;
the real-time image controller comprising:
at least one of a set of image control buttons and a set of image control dials; and
an application programming interface to map the functions of the control buttons and dials to the application software.
