| 1. A method for channel estimation in a communication system, the method comprising:
receiving a plurality of spatially multiplexed communication signals from a plurality of transmit antennas;
generating a plurality of baseband combined channel estimates based on phase rotation in response to said receiving said plurality
of spatially multiplexed communication signals;
generating a channel estimation matrix based on said generated plurality of baseband combined channel estimates in response
to said receiving said plurality of spatially multiplexed communication signals;
generating a plurality of one or both of amplitude correction signals and/or phase correction signals based on said generated
channel estimation matrix; and
adjusting one or both of an amplitude and/or a phase, of at least a portion of said received plurality of spatially multiplexed
communication signals based on said generated plurality of one or both of said amplitude correction signals and/or said phase
correction signals, respectively.
