| 1. A supported metal catalyst, comprising:
a support material; and
a plurality of metal particles dispersed throughout said support material, the metal particles having an average surface softness
between 0.07198 and 0.09247,
wherein the metal particles have a TOF for CO oxidation that is greater than about 0.03 s−1.
