| 1. A medical device, comprising:
a patient tunnel lined by a lining;
a patient couch that is moved into and out of the tunnel and accommodated in a recess in the lining enclosing sides of the
patient couch; and
an element that is deflected by the patient couch during a movement of the patient couch and moved against a resetting force
provided at both sides in an area of an end of the recess near to the patient couch.
