| 1. An optical disc reproducing method, the optical disc having a plurality of sectors formed in a track direction, each sector
comprising a data area formed along the track direction and an address area formed along the track direction wherein the address
area is offset from the data area in a direction other than the track direction, the method comprising:
extracting information indicating the address area or the data area from a signal read from the optical disc, in an analog
processing system; and
generating, immediately after reading of the signal from the optical disc has started, a signal instructing an analog processing
step to be either a processing that depends on the address area or a processing that depends on the data area, on the basis
of the extracted information.
