| 1. High-frequency position/path sensor for detecting the approach of an object, with a detection range in a near field, comprising:
a housing;
a high-frequency transmitter arranged in said housing;
a high-frequency receiver arranged in said housing; and
at least one of a coding device for coding a transmitter signal and a synchronizing device for synchronizing the high-frequency
transmitter and the high-frequency receiver;
the high-frequency transmitter and the high-frequency receiver being arranged and configured such that a main transmitting
direction and a main receiving direction lie at an angle (β) to each other.
