| 1. A waveform processing system comprising:
a channel to receive an input signal; and
a converter coupled to the channel to convert the input signal to a digital representation, wherein the converter comprises:
a differential circuit, comprising a differential amplifier, to condition the input signal, the differential circuit comprising
a pair of transistors biased by the input signal and a differential emitter follower circuit coupled to a differential signal
output of the differential circuit;
a controller to maintain a common mode voltage in the differential circuit by controlling a supply voltage that is supplied
to the differential circuit such that at least one of the transistors dissipates power at a substantially constant level;
and
a common mode voltage sensor to detect a common mode voltage that represents the common mode voltage that is maintained by
the controller.
