| 1. A device for manipulating a magnetizable particle suspended in a solution, comprising:
a first magnet;
a second magnet; and
a probe for holding and transporting said magnetizable particle comprising an open top and an open bottom, wherein said probe
is transportable through a plurality of positions between said first magnet and said second magnet in a horizontal direction
for manipulating said magnetizable particle, wherein said magnetizable particle is resuspended in one of said probe positions,
and wherein the strength of said first magnet is weaker than the strength of said second magnet.
