| 1. A pitch drive system for a wind turbine, comprising:
a regulation drive for regulating the pitch of a rotor blade of the wind turbine during normal operation, the regulation drive
comprising at least one drive train and first and second motorized actuators;
an emergency drive for pitching the rotor blade in case of emergency, the emergency drive comprising at least one drive train
and an actuator having a mechanical energy storage element; and
wherein the at least one drive train of the emergency drive is separate from the at least one drive train of the regulation
drive.
