| 1. A light source device comprising:
a discharge tube having at least one electrode;
a reflector;
a plurality of support members in contact with said discharge tube, and
wherein said support members are positioned so as to maintain a lower temperature at a portion of said discharge tube between
said support members than a temperature of a portion of the discharge tube located near said at least one electrode;
at least one support member of said plurality of support members supports said discharge tube to said reflector; and,
wherein said at least one support member of said plurality of support members is located inward from an end of said discharge
tube comprising said at least one electrode so as to prevent a temperature drop of a portion of the discharge tube near said
electrode.
