| 1. A read/write head for a disk drive system, comprising:
a read transducer; and
a write transducer that is configured for longitudinal magnetic recording, the write transducer including:
a pair of write poles;
a write coil disposed between the pair of write poles, the write coil having n turns; and
a bucking coil disposed on an opposite side of the pair of write poles from the read transducer, the bucking coil having m
turns, the bucking coil inducing a magnetic field that opposes a magnetic field induced by the write coil;
wherein n is greater than m.
