| 1. A method for producing creatine fatty acids comprising at least the steps of:
mixing an excess of a thionyl halide with a fatty acid to form an acyl halide;
said acyl halide then being added to a dichloromethane suspension of creatine in the presence of a pyridine catalyst; and
isolating the resulting creatine fatty acid.
