| 1. A toner for developing an electrostatic image comprising toner particles obtained by:
forming coagulated particles by mixing a resin particle dispersion solution in which resin particles are dispersed and a coloring
agent dispersion solution in which coloring agent particles are dispersed, and
fusing the coagulated particles by heating them, wherein:
the surfaces of the toner particles have a chemical structure formed by reaction with a compound having a carbodiimido group;
a size distribution index GSDv of a volume average particle diameter of the toner particles is 1.30 or lower; and
a shape factor SF1 of the toner particles is between 100 and 140.
