| 1. A sailing vessel comprising:
a hull;
an appendage extending from said hull and having a leading edge, a trailing edge, two surfaces, and a midplane;
a first hydrofoil member; and
a second hydrofoil member;
a single, rigid, rotatable member having an axis disposed substantially parallel to said midplane;
wherein said first hydrofoil member and said second hydrofoil member are incorporated in, and integral with, said single,
rigid, rotatable member.
