| 1. A gas chromatograph (GC) module for mounting in a gas chromatograph assembly, the GC module comprising:
a support structure;
a separation device operable to separate components of a gas, the separation device being mounted to the support structure
and comprising at least one column wound into a coil; and
a circuit assembly mounted to the support structure and comprising non-volatile memory for storing information relating to
the operation of the gas chromatograph assembly with the GC module; and
wherein the at least one column is encapsulated in a conductive resin.
