1. A method for applying a reclosable seal to a container, the method comprising:
(a) providing a container, wherein the container has an opening;
(b) forming one or more slits in the container, wherein each of the one or more slits is proximate to the opening, wherein the slits define a flap portion;
(c) providing a reclosable seal, wherein the reclosable seal comprises a pair of interlocking sections;
(d) inserting the reclosable seal in the one or more slits; and
(e) securing each interlocking section of the reclosable seal to the container.
