| 1. A method in an application server for executing a voice enabled calling application, the method comprising:
receiving, by the application server, an HTTP request via an HTTP connection for execution of a voice enabled calling application
operation for a caller;
accessing, by the application server, a selected extensible markup language (XML) document in response to reception of the
HTTP request;
generating, by the application server, based on the XML document, a first HTML page including an audio file having audible
prompts for the caller to supply an input;
accessing, by the application server, a directory based on the input from the caller to obtain called party information regarding
the called party; and
generating, by the application server, a second HTML page having instructions for a computer-based executable resource to
contact the called party.
