| 1. An end binder for a heald shaft of a weaving machine, comprising
a basic body which is formed of at least one elongated bent sheet metal member having a U-shaped cross section extending along
its entire length, which is essentially vertically oriented in use and which encloses a hollow space; and wherein: the basic
body is provided with at least one shaft rod coupler which serves for joining a shaft rod of a heald shaft; the shaft rod
coupler defines a side designated as an inner side of the end binder and facing toward a shaft rod, and further defines a
side designated as an outer side of the end binder and facing away from a shaft rod; the hollow space of the basic body is
open at the entire length of the inner side; and the shaft rod coupler extends out of the U-shaped basic body on the open
inner side and is pivotally coupled to the basic body.
