| 1. A gas turbine powerplant for V/STOL aircraft comprising:
a compressor having a central axis,
a central hub being concentric with said central axis and having a passage therethrough, and
means for directing forwardly through said passage in said central hub a sufficient proportion of the low pressure compressor
air to operate a remote lift means effective in use to support the aircraft in jet-borne flight.
