| 17. A method for decoding an LDPC (Low Density Parity Check) coded signal, the method comprising:
calculating a second soft bit information corresponding to a second square sub-matrix using a first soft bit information corresponding
to a first square sub-matrix, wherein a column, of a parity check matrix that corresponds to a generator matrix employed to
generate the LDPC coded signal, includes the first square sub-matrix and the second square sub-matrix; and
performing iterative error correction decoding of the LDPC coded signal to generate a best estimate of at least one information
bit that has been encoded into the LDPC coded signal.
