| 1. A lens apparatus, comprising
a focus lens unit,
an adjustable aperture stop,
wherein the lens apparatus includes a first focusing mode in which the focus lens unit moves based on an output from a focus-condition
detector which detects a focus condition and a second focusing mode in which the focus lens unit moves by a manual operation,
and
wherein the first focusing mode is prohibited and the second focusing mode is executed if an F-number of the adjustable aperture
stop exceeds a predetermined value.
