| 1. An information processor which transfers print data to a printing apparatus having a standby state in which printing can
be performed, and a sleep state of low power consumption in which printing cannot be performed, said information processor
comprising:
a display unit adapted to display a print setting screen for setting print settings;
a first command output unit adapted to in response to displaying of the print setting screen, output to the printing apparatus
a first command to make the printing apparatus execute shift processing for shifting from the sleep state to the standby state,
the first command being output after displaying the print setting screen by the display unit and before an issuance of an
instruction to perform printing; and
a print data output unit adapted to output the print data, which is related to the print settings, to the printing apparatus
in response to the issuance of the instruction to perform printing.
