| 1. An electrophotographic apparatus comprising an electrophotographic photosensitive member, a charging means, an image exposure
means, a developing means and a transfer means, wherein
a semiconductor laser having an emission wavelength of from 380 nm to 500 nm is used as the image exposure means; and
an electrophotographic photosensitive member having a support, and at least a reflecting layer having conductivity, a charge
generation layer and a charge transport layer provided on the support is used as the electrophotographic photosensitive member,
where the reflecting layer (i) has a total reflectance of 30% or more with respect to a standard white board at said emission
wavelength and a specular reflectance of less than 15% at said emission wavelength and (ii) contains a binder resin, wherein
a layer 10 μm in thickness composed of the binder resin has a yellowness index of 15 or less as calculated according to ASTM
D1925, and the charge generation layer has an absorbance of 1.0 or less at said emission wavelength.
