1. A magnetic head support mechanism comprising:
a magnetic head;
gimbals for electrically connecting to the magnetic head, wherein the gimbals are made of a copper alloy and form a current supply path; and
a suspension for holding the gimbals, wherein the suspension is a member made of stainless steel or spring steel and has a rigidity higher than that of the gimbals, and wherein the suspension performs a load (press)/unload (retract) operation of the magnetic head on a recording medium by elastic deformation of the suspension.
