1. A method for treating an inflammatory disease or disorder, comprising administering a pharmaceutically effective amount of a therapeutic agent to a subject in need thereof, said therapeutic agent comprising:
an N-sulfated 4-deoxy-4-en-iduronoglucosamine containing at least one additional sulfate group or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, or an N-acetylated 4-deoxy-4-en-iduronoglucosamine containing at least two sulfate groups or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; and
a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
