| 1. A method for detecting a post-translationally modified protein with a glycosyl group comprising
contacting the protein with a glycosyl transferase enzyme and a labeling agent, wherein the labeling agent comprises a chemical
handle and a transferable glycosyl group, wherein the glycosyl transferase catalyzes the transfer of the labeling agent and
the chemical handle to the post-translationally modified protein;
contacting the modified protein having the transferred labeling agent and the chemical handle with a detection agent, wherein
the chemical handle reacts with a reactive group on the detection agent to form a covalent bond; and
detecting the detection agent, that is covalently bound to said chemical handle
wherein the detection of the bound detection agent indicates the presence of a post-translationally modified protein.
