| 1. A method for a mobile terminal to perform a network transaction in a wireless local area network that includes a wireless
access point, the method comprising:
awaking from a low power mode;
sending a polling frame to the access point after awaking from the low power mode;
receiving at least one delay frame from the access point in response to the polling frame
temporarily ceasing a procedure for repolling the access point responsive to receiving the at least one delay frame;
subsequent to receiving the at least one delay frame and temporarily ceasing the procedure for repolling the access point,
receiving a non-delay frame from the access point in further response to the polling frame; and
returning to the low power mode after receiving the non-delay frame.
