| 1. A method of processing image data, comprising the steps of:
storing calibration pattern data in a first apparatus;
sending the calibration pattern data from the first apparatus to a second apparatus to allow generation of a calibration pattern
image in the second apparatus;
generating the calibration pattern image in the second apparatus using an image printer apparatus according to the calibration
pattern data;
combining a plurality of images of a subject object and the calibration pattern image by an image recording device at different
relative orientations;
recording combined image data defining the combined images;
sending the combined image data to the first apparatus; and
performing processing in the first apparatus on the basis of the stored calibration pattern data and the sent combined image
