| 1. A dielectric element comprising:
a container configured for positioning on a subject during acquisition of magnetic resonance data from the subject in a B1 field having a field distribution in the subject:
dielectric material having a dielectric constant of at least 50 and exhibiting a relaxation time selected from the group consisting
of T1 relaxation time and T2 relaxation time; and
a relaxation agent, not bound to particles, incorporated in said dielectric material that reduces said relaxation time; and
said dielectric material with said relaxation agent incorporated therein filling said container and being configured to exert
an influence on said field distribution outside of said dielectric material and in said subject.
