1. A method for imaging a subject, comprising:
providing a subject;
illuminating the subject with a light pulse having a wavelength of between about 150 nm to about 300 nm, the light pulse having a time duration of about 2 seconds or less;
detecting illumination that results from interaction of the light pulse with the subject to capture 2-dimensional image information for at least a portion of the subject; and
waiting a time interval of at least 5 seconds before repeating performances of the illuminating and detecting steps to capture additional 2-dimensional image information for at least a portion of the subject.
