| 1. A thermally-directed optical imager, comprising:
a thermal image sensor for receiving infrared radiation and generating a thermal image signal based on the received infrared
radiation;
an optical image sensor for receiving optical radiation and generating an optical image signal based on the received optical
radiation; and
a processor for receiving the thermal image and the optical image signals, determining an optical processing region from the
thermal image signal, and processing the optical image signal based on the optical processing region, wherein an amount of
processing of the optical image signal is limited based on the optical processing region.
