| 1. A process cartridge detachably mountable to a main assembly of an electrophotographic image forming apparatus, wherein
the main assembly includes a motor, a main assembly gear configured and positioned to receive a driving force from the motor,
a twisted hole having a non-circular cross-section and being substantially coaxial with the gear, and a main assembly grounding
contact provided in the hole, said process cartridge comprising:
an electrophotographic photosensitive drum;
a developing roller that develops a latent image formed on said photosensitive drum; and
a twisted projection engageable with the hole, said projection being provided at a longitudinal end of said photosensitive
drum, wherein when the main assembly gear rotates with the hole and said projection engaged with each other, a rotational
driving force is transmitted from the gear to said photosensitive drum through engagement between the hole and said projection;
and
a helical gear that transmits to said developing roller the rotational driving force received by said twisted projection from
the hole,
wherein said projection is of an electroconductive material for electrically connecting with said electrophotographic photosensitive
drum and with the main assembly grounding contact to electrically ground the electrophotographic photosensitive drum when
said process cartridge is mounted to the main assembly of the apparatus.
