1. A method for automatically provisioning a data stream received by a network element to devices within the network element that desire to receive the data stream, comprising:
receiving provisioning data from a device that indicates a data stream the device wants to receive;
computing a path including legs connecting devices in the network element that want to receive the data stream; and
generating a matrix for the path, wherein for each leg of the path the matrix includes a source point and a destination point.
