| 1. An isolated soluble polypeptide comprising:
(a) the amino acid sequence described in SEQ ID NO:2 of the sequence listing; or
(b) an amino acid sequence having at least 97% homology with the amino acid sequence described in SEQ ID NO:2 of the sequence
listing, and comprising from 1 to 16 amino acids of Glu332 to Met347 of the amino acid sequence described in SEO ID NO:2 of the sequence listing at the C-terminus;
wherein the soluble polypeptide has Advanced Glycation Endproducts (AGE) binding activity.
