| 1. A method of infiltrating enamel, comprising the following steps:
(a) removing a portion of enamel area to be infiltrated by exposing said enamel to a conditioner comprising about 5-30% (w/w)
hydrochloric acid for at least 30 seconds;
(b) exposing the enamel area conditioned in step (a) to an infiltrant; and
(c) curing the infiltrant.
