1. A brake device for a vehicle, comprising:
a braking input side which generates a liquid pressure by manipulating a brake manipulation portion of wheels of the vehicle;
a braking output side which supplies the liquid pressure to a wheel braking mechanism of the wheels, the braking input side and the braking output side being made to be in communication with each other or being interrupted from communication with each other by way of an open/close device;
a hydraulic modulator which adjusts the liquid pressure of the braking output side by operating an electrically-operated actuator; and
a plurality of pressure detection mechanisms for detecting the liquid pressure of the braking input side, a first one of the pressure detection mechanisms having a first predetermined detection range, a second one of the pressure detection mechanisms having a second predetermined detection range different from the first predetermined detection range,
wherein a trouble diagnosis of the pressure detection mechanism is performed in response to detection values of the pressure detection mechanisms, and
wherein the second predetermined detection range is larger than the first predetermined detection range, and wherein the trouble diagnosis of the pressure detection mechanisms determines abnormality of the pressure detection mechanisms when the detection value of the first one of the pressure detection mechanisms falls out of the first predetermined detection range and the detection value of the second one of the pressure detection mechanisms falls within the first predetermined detection range.
