1. A method of altering the invasive and metastatic capacity of isolated epithelial cells said method comprising transfecting said cells with an expression vector comprising a polynucleotide encoding a full-length Snail, protein or a partial sequence thereof binding to E-cadherin promoter, thereby up-regulating expression of Snail in the cells, and up-regulation of said expression of Snail, by said polynucleotide causing an alteration of the invasive and metastatic capacity of said cells.
