1. A method of treating diseases that are characterized by excessive vascular endothelial cell proliferation comprising administering a monoclonal antibody to human vascular endothelial growth factor (hVEGF), wherein said monoclonal antibody to hVEGF binds to the same hVEGF epitope as monoclonal antibody A4.6.1 (ATCC HB 10709).
