| 1. A football down chain set for monitoring the position of a football, the chain set comprising:
a standard having a pointer attached thereon, said pointer being spaced at a distance from said standard, said pointer gauging
a position of the football;
another standard having another pointer attached thereon, said other pointer being spaced at a distance from said other standard,
said other pointer gauging a position of the football;
a strap interconnecting said standard and said other standard, said strap being dimensioned for providing a spacing of ten
yards between said pointer and said other pointer;
said pointers being constructed to rotate about an axis that is parallel to said strap.
