| 1. A composition for storing hydrogen, comprising boron oxide and at least one boron oxide derivative, wherein the composition
is configured to absorb hydrogen with a heat adsorption of about 10 kJ/mol to about 13 kJ/mol, the adsorption being substantially
physisorptive in nature; and
wherein the composition is configured to have a surface area to mass ratio of at least about 150 m2/g.
