| 1. A light source device, comprising:
an arc tube of a high pressure discharge lamp; and
a reflector, which is in a suitable thickness to prevents cracking due to thermal stresses,
wherein a cover glass is externally fitted and fixed to the rear of the reflector at opposite ends thereof with a buffering
space gap therebetween.
