| 1. An image forming apparatus applied to a system where an image forming apparatus and an image processing apparatus are connected
to one another via a communication network, the image forming apparatus comprising:
a plurality of storage sections which store image data;
a correspondence table which shows the correspondence between storage section IDs for specifying the storage sections and
passwords registered for the storage sections;
a collate section which receives a password from the image processing apparatus, collates the received password with the passwords
registered in the correspondence table, and detects the storage section ID of the storage section in which the password coinciding
with the received password has been registered and the storage section IDs of the storage sections in which no password has
been registered from said plurality of storage sections; and
a transmitting section which transmits a value indicating the storage section ID detected by the collate section to the image
processing apparatus.
