| 1. A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display, comprising:
forming a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines on a substrate, the plurality of gate lines cross the plurality
of data lines and defining a plurality of unit pixel regions to display red, green, and blue colors;
forming a plurality of thin film transistors in the plurality of unit pixel regions;
forming a passivation layer on the substrate;
forming a green color filter layer on the substrate within one of the unit pixel regions displaying the green color;
forming a red color filter layer on a portion of the substrate within one of the unit pixel regions adjacent to the unit pixel
region displaying the green color, and on a portion of the green color filter layer overlapping the thin film transistor,
the gate line and the data line;
forming a blue color filter layer on a portion of the substrate within one of the unit pixel regions adjacent to the unit
pixel region displaying the red color, and on a portion of the red color filter layer overlapping the thin film transistor,
the gate line and the data line;
depositing an organic insulating layer on an entire surface of the substrate including the green, red, and blue color filter
layers;
forming a contact hole through the organic insulating layer disposed on each of the plurality of thin film transistors; and
forming a plurality of pixel electrodes corresponding to the plurality of unit pixel regions.
