1. A reinforcing tape, comprising:
a length of elongate, hot melt adhesive-coated reinforcing tape configured to reinforce a packaging container substrate, the reinforcing tape comprising a first major surface and a second major surface opposing the first major surface, wherein the reinforcing tape has a longitudinal tensile strength of at least about 8.2 kgf;
a plurality of RFID devices attached to the first major surface of the reinforcing tape in longitudinally spaced apart relation along the length of the reinforcing tape, wherein each RFID device comprises an antenna; and,
a conductive element spanning at least a portion of the length of the reinforcing tape between adjacent RFID devices for enhancing the reading and transmitting properties of one or more of the RFID devices.
